National Emergency Department Inventories (NEDI)

The National ED Inventories (NEDI) are ongoing surveys that contain data on all EDs in a specific country/state/city, including facility location and annual visit volume.  Each inventory was developed through collaboration of a Country/State/City Coordinator with EMNet staff. 

U.S. Surveys

NEDI-USA: 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013
       Annual Surveys: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 

The next survey will launch in early 2025

NEDI-New England: 2014 and 2018 (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT)

NEDI-State: 2005 (MA), 2008 (CO, GA, MA, OR), 2009 (AR, HI, MN, VT, WY), and 2021 (CA)

NEDI-Indian Health Service: 2014
