One of the less tangible contributions of EMNet to US emergency medicine has been the informal clinical research training of hundreds of investigators at HMS, across the nation, and even around the world. Each multicenter study includes new investigators, who are trained – through in-person meetings and teleconferences – in the basics of clinical and health services research.
If you would like to spend research time in Boston, we have four types of positions available. EMNet offers a formal Research Fellowship in conjunction with the Harvard School of Public Health. For recent college graduates, we offer a year long Pre-doctoral Research Fellowship. For students, we offer a Summer Research Fellowship; Harvard medical students can participate through the PASTEUR program. Finally, we invite residents, fellows, and faculty to visit on-site for at least two months as a Visiting Researcher. Please check the links below for more information.
