ECHO-wide Cohort Protocol

The NIH Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program was initiated in 2016 with a mission “to enhance the health of children for generations to come.”

In addition to creating a large and diverse national cohort by pooling extant data from approximately 70 pediatric cohorts (including MARC-35 and MARC-43), ECHO also is creating a new prospective cohort using the ECHO-wide cohort protocol (EWCP). To date, the five EMNet sites in the MARC-43 cohort study have recruited >280 families into the EWCP.
