We would like your help with a brief study of 378 U.S emergency departments (EDs). This is a follow-up to past national surveys conducted over the last 8 years.
This survey will gather information from ED leaders in order to better characterize and understand the different ways in which teletrauma is used. This will inform future research to help standardize teletrauma outcomes assessments and inform policy for rural trauma care. This study is funded by The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation.
If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Carlos Camargo, MD, DrPH at emnet@partners.org.
Key Terms in the Survey
Telehealth: the use of technology for remote clinical diagnostic and treatment services. This service is usually live audiovisual but may sometimes be only audio (e.g., telephone). Use of telehealth services for the evaluation of injured patients is sometimes referred to as teletrauma.
