National Emergency Department Inventory - USA

The 2009 National ED Inventory-USA (NEDI-USA) contains data on all 4,967 US EDs for the year 2009, including facility location and annual visit volume. NEDI-USA was developed by Carlos Camargo, Ashley Sullivan, and EMNet staff. We compiled the inventory through original data collection and integration of information from a variety of sources (e.g., the Verispan Hospital Market Profiling Solution, American Hospital Association Annual Survey Database, Flex Monitoring Team, and Association of American Medical Colleges). The primary manuscript from the 2001 database was published in Annals of Emergency Medicine (click here for the abstract).
